There is a young lady I know who has a father who struggles with much, much sin. Drinking is the sin of the current time and his drinking (and many other addictions) has caused much difficulty for her family.
I am so incredibly inspired by this young lady, who is only 12. In her young age, this is how she deals with her father's sinful choices..."He's my dad, I love him no matter what he chooses. I don't love his choices and I wish he would make better ones. I have realized that his bad choices can't determine my life and my choices. I am OK, despite his bad choices and I love him unconditionally." That's a summary of a long talk I had with her about this. I am honestly blown away that a 12 year old could think this way, heck I am 32 and I rarely think this way.
Doesn't God love us unconditionally? Doesn't He wish we would make better choices but love us even through our bad ones? God doesn't let our bad choices affect HIM, He continues being God no matter what we do. His love is constant.
I thank God for bringing this special and unique young lady into my life and for the inspiration she is to me. Working for God is the best job ever.
