Tonight was the 7-10 year old Christmas party! I got to go and just take pictures, it was so much fun!!! It did feel weird, this was the first time I had been there not in the leadership role. It felt right though. I realized tonight that me stepping down probably wasn't really even about me. As I saw Trish lead, I realized that God probably had me move aside so He could let her shine and work through her. She is an amazing leader and definitely the leader the kids need right now. I left tonight with such a sense of peace with how God worked it all out. Trish will be continuing to lead during the next season too. She has an amazing gift to lead, one she never really even knew she had (she was a business major at VA Tech). Her heart for children is HUGE and she is doing what God has intended her to do right now in her life. I am very thankful I did listen to Him when he was asking me to step away.
