Definitely Treasures!

We completed our Treasure or Target lapbooks in Sunday school yesterday! Here is a photo of the inside of the project...Top Left: the letter from Chad (the speaker at Revolve)
Bottom Left: a mini book "I Don't Want to be a Target" the girls wrote ways they become a target (flirting, immodest dressing, being alone with boys, etc.) on each page.
Top Middle: "Dreams of a Treasure" There are pages in this book for Educational Dreams Character Dreams, Dreams for God, Family Dreams, and Career Dreams. The purpose was to help the girls realize the value of their goals and dreams and to not give them up for any boy.
Middle: Each girl chose a Bible verse that was special to her. This one has Proverbs 31:30
Bottom Middle: Each girl drew symbols on the treasure map, representing all of the parts of them (body, mind, dreams, heart, etc.). We talked about not giving those things away to just anybody and they should be saved for one man, their husband, either earthly, or in heaven...Jesus Christ!
Left: "I am a Treasure" Each girl had to list qualities that make them a treasure. We talked about how they don't have to LIKE these qualities, but that to God they are perfect.

On the back is a song lyrics page, including songs from Christian artists focusing on them being a treasure!

This was a wonderful unit, please pray for these girls as they work their way through the road of life as a girl.
