Many of you will remember me talking about us going to court many times with N and the girls. Although I still don't want to share any specific details, I do want to share a praise that after FINALLY making it through the preliminary hearings (after going and being rescheduled 3 times), all felony convictions were upheld and will be going to jury trial. This is a huge praise after many months (and years in one case) of prayer. We do not know when the actual trials will be (arraignments aren't until July), probably many months off, but just knowing that the charges stuck and justice is running it's course is a big praise. Please understand why I am not sharing details, as these cases involve a family other than our own. But, please be in prayer for justice to be served and for healing to occur. Just to be sure there is NO confusion, N and her family are not the ones being convicted of anything ;). I am a key witness in one of the cases and had to be on the stand yesterday and it was one of the most uncomfortable, nerve racking things I have ever done. I will have to do it again for the jury trial, unless plea bargains are settled, which is also a prayer of ours. We would love for these cases to never even have to go to trial, and for the guilty people to accept sentencing they deserve without a trial.
On another good note, our precious A seems to be doing better. As most of you know she has been away from home--at various hospitals, group homes, and such, for many months now. She is now at a residential center and is doing better. She is actually coming home this weekend for her first overnight pass! Please continue to pray for her healing and homecoming.
Thank you to so many of you who I know love this family from afar. I know this family has made a special place in many of your hearts, which is why I share updates. God has put a circle of believers around them, we must continue to stand strong around them and continue to pray for them to *make it* and follow the path God has laid before each one of them. Thank you for partnering with us in loving all of them!
