Matthews Mission Team

We were honored to have a large group made up of mostly old friends from Matthews here serving with us recently!

I love this group for obvious reasons {great friends}, but also because it is a family trip and my children get to hang out with other kids! Their children do just about everything the adults do-serving right alongside!

So what did they do?

Neighborhood visitation to invite kids to their VBS…

Hosted an amazing VBS…

Worked on our new community garden {located behind our property on Ann St.}

Worked alongside of Frank in preparing and finishing the new concrete in the back of our house.  This was a gift from my parents, to help us get rid of the rocks that the stray cats thought was a litter box.

The guys also worked at the Redemption House and did a few other work projects with Frank but I don’t have photos of that!

We enjoyed a night in Center City, with the highlight being a rain shower to cool the kids off and entertain us adults!

This group has been here to serve many times and many of these children have been here several times also!  We look forward to many more years of service together and are SO very thankful that these awesome friends choose to spend their time serving here in Kensington!
