On Friday night we came to a close with the Matthews youth group. One team hosted a Miracle House sneak peak and 2 other teams hosted a finale dinner for the VBS kids. We had over 100 kids at VBS on Friday, it was awesome, and a little crazy!! Frank and I both spent the evening with them, until after 2am, for their closing. I got to talk with some really great kids and enjoyed my time with them. What Laurie (their youth leader) does for that youth group brings tears to my eyes (it literally did). As I listened to her speak from her heart it made me realize how vital she is in so many lives. My own husband might not be my husband without her influence in his life. She is so instrumental in the walks of faith so many have taken. I sat back and cried and felt so overwhelmed with gratefulness for the mission work she does and for how she sacrifices for those kids. God uses each of us in the way He needs us, me in Philly, and her in Matthews. The mission field is everywhere!!
I close with a few shots I love, got these at the Miracle House dinner, Ky was all smiles to be in Daddy's arms, he hasn't had much of that this busy week.
